What do Blockchain, IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics all have in common? They are disrupting and changing our organizations and societal culture.
Our lives, the way we do business, the way we interact with others at work, and the society at large are being transformed by many of the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies such as AI, Robotics, Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Autonomous Vehicles, 3D printing, Quantum Computing, and Nanotechnology.
These innovations are becoming a common part of the workplace and business strategy. The implication being disruption to ‘business as usual’, as well as the rise and demand for new skills and types of jobs.
In the 2019 report by the World Economic Forum, it was estimated that of the 1.37 million workers who are predicted to be displaced by automation in the next decade, only one in four will be profitably reskilled by private-sector programs, with the rest most likely expected to fend for themselves or rely on the government for assistance.
In order to disrupt and not be disrupted, we must be prepared and ready to respond to change better and faster than ever before. Business Readiness is key, and this is one more reason we are looking forward to having Hessie Jones at this year’s Change Leadership conference on Leading Change in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Hessie is the Founder of ArCompany, which advocates AI readiness, education and ethical distribution of AI across policy, process, culture and jobs.
How are you getting ready to lead and drive change in the 4th Industrial Revolution? We will be exploring and discussing this on May 8th.
